Spectacular Tourist Attraction
My family and I ventured around York Wall (during our UK visit in Aug 2024) for which we found it quite interesting with full of history. Narrow, clean, and free; it had a lot of signage explaining the history of the area in great detail with some areas dating back since 71AD! Highly recommended

The City Walls of York are certainly not spectacular. But we found it a pleasant way to reacquaint ourselves with the old capital. Walking around the old ramparts is certainly not possible everywhere in the world. So here in York, go for it. 😁

Amazing place.Love it.However with small kids very hard as pushchair cant be taken due to narrow walking space.

A walk around the walls is a must if you have come to York.
Great views and will lead you to the York Minster and of course the famous street The Shambles.
If you find yourself looking for a family friendly and dog friendly pub for lunch, I would highly recommend The Olde Starre Inn for lunch.
Hand pumped cask ales 🍺 are very good here with a good selection available.
